Back To Basics
Once upon a time, I had a little web page that I updated for my own personal amusement and as a way to experiment with the evolving technologies of the inter-weeb. It was a handy little space where I could stick just about anything that I thought might be useful to me or my friends online.
Eventually, this led me to start playing around with CMS's, and to actually start my own blog. One post every 6 months demonstrated quite clearly that I was not cut out for the blogging meme. Fast forward a couple more years and now we have Facebook. Facebook is exactly what I wanted in terms of being able to post about tiny stupid updates in my personal life.
So now I think it's time for a return to form. The new web page is getting back to my roots. This is going to be a scratch space for whatever project I'm fiddling with at the moment and a chance to experiment with the latest technologies. These days, that's AJAX, my new friend.
I'll be looking through all my old backup directories, trying to find all the original content I had on the original version of my site. With any luck, I'll be able to get all that back up here in a sensible fashion.
